Acid Reflux

Gastroesophageal reflux disease is also known as acid reflux. GERD is a more severe and long-lasting condition in which GER causes repeated symptoms or leads to complications over time.

It’s a chronic relapsing condition in which prolonged reflux of gastric acid, pepsin and bile salt and inflammatory damage of the oesophagus.

When reflux has consequences, such as esophagitis, nutritional compromise, and respiratory complication.
