Peripheral Neuropathy
Inflammation and degeneration of peripheral nerve (loss of nerve fiber function ) damage caused by poor diabetic control called diabetic neuropathy. The loss of sensation in the feet increases the possibility of unnoticed and develop into ulcers or lesions that become infected.

Stages of peripheral neuropathy.
Stage 1: Numbness & Pain.
Stage 2: Constant Pain.
Stage 3: Intense/severe Pain.
Stage 4: Complete Numbness/ Loss of Sensation.

Symptoms: 
• Pain and numbness
• Inability to feel the temperature 
• Wasting of muscles 
• Indigestion, nausea, and vomiting
• Diarrhea & constipation
• Dizziness 
• Problems with urination
• Sexual dysfunction (erectile dysfunction in men, vaginal dryness in women)
• General weakness
• Diabetes can also affect the autonomic nerves that control blood pressure, the digestive tract, bladder function, and sexual organs
