Spinal Stenosis

SS is most commonly due to degenerative changes diminished space available for the neural and vascular elements in the lumbar spine secondary to degenerative changes in the spinal canal. Pressure on nerves and the spinal cord, causing pain in the back and lower body. 

Spinal stenosis causes narrowing of the spine, people with other types of arthritis and related conditions that affect the spine may develop spinal stenosis. Spinal stenosis is more common in people 50 years old or older.

Symptoms: 
• Neck & back pain 
• Numbness, weakness, cramping or pain in the arms or leg.
• Pain going down the leg.
• Foot problems.
• Abnormality walking 
• Reduced sensation of touch 
• In sever case bladder dysfunction /urinary urgency
